How The Wysa AI Chatbot Delivers Mental Health Support

The Wysa chatbot engages people in cognitive behavioural therapy to help fill global gaps in mental healthcare. It uses natural language to put people at ease, responding with content created by specialist therapists, such as relaxation breathing techniques and prompts to help users ‘reframe’ their thinking. Wysa app lets users chat anonymously and can be accessed through the app, online or on WhatsApp 24/7, when other help may not be available. The demand for help is higher than ever. Wysa already has 5 million users across 65 countries, and it’s working on Hindi and Spanish versions too. Wysa is part of the Youth Mental Health community of innovators on UpLink, helping to fight stigma, alleviate distress, and improve access to mental health support.
