Listen to the article

In 2021, the UN Secretary General will convene its first ever Food System Summit. It is part of the “Decade of Action” to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The World Economic Forum is supporting the UN's efforts.

The UN Summit is dedicated to five aspects of our food systems: nutrition, sustainable consumption, nature positive production, livelihoods and resilience.

The UN has also identified four “levers of change” that can help improve the global food systems: human rights, innovation, finance, and gender equality and women’s empowerment.

During the second Public Forum dedicated to Innovation, you can join leaders representing a diverse innovation community. Hear their game-changing ideas and follow them as they explore innovations in an open discussion.

Join them as they try to unlock innovation that will transform and improve our global food systems – both in the lead into the UN Summit and in alignment with the 2030 Agenda and all 17 SDGs.

The programme focuses on the role of data and digital, knowledge and technology, national and regional ecosystems, and societal and institutional innovation models.

Tune in to watch this livestream 7 June 2021 at 15:00-16:00 CET.
