Aditya Ghosh, 39 is the President of IndiGo. Aditya was inducted to the Board of Directors of IndiGo on May 30, 2007 and took on the role as its President in August 2008. As the President of the airline, Aditya heads all operations and management of IndiGo. Aditya is also a member of the four member Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises. Aditya Ghosh has been described as “an aberration of sorts in a high-visibility business and a case study for corporate chiefs not thrilled with the spotlight”. Aditya, the man who leads IndiGo, never went to business school, has never worked in an airline before and is a lawyer by training. He took this role at the age of 33 and turned it into the most profitable airline in India and the fastest growing low cost carrier in the world, now adding a plane every three weeks. IndiGo has remained the most profitable airline in India for the past six years. IndiGo is the largest airline in India, by market share. IndiGo as part of I nterGlobe has been namedas one of the best companies to work for in India for seven years in a row. Under Aditya’s leadership, IndiGo’s fleet has grown from 18 to 91 airplanes, from 1100 employees to nearly 10,000 employees now and revenue has grown more than 10 fold.

Recognitions

• Aditya Ghosh received the Low Cost Leadership award at the “World Airline Awards”, London 2011.

• In 2012 Aditya was ranked 27th globally, in Fortune Magazine’s elite “40 under 40 list”.

• Mr. Aditya Ghosh received the ‘Young Business Leader 2011’ award at NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2011.

• Mr. Ghosh was also awarded ‘CEO of the year’ award by SABRE in July 2013.

• Mr Ghosh is a member of the Main Jury of the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award in 2014
