What Do Net Zero Emissions Mean And Why Does It Matter?

Human-made CO2 emissions need to fall 45% by 2030, and the world needs to reach net zero emissions by 2050. So far, 120 countries have committed to net zero emissions, and more than 1,000 companies are transforming their operations to save the planet. Reaching net zero goals means offsetting any CO2 emissions produced. This isn't the same as eliminating all greenhouse gases.
