Here’s How To Fight Digital Addiction, According To Economists

US researchers say that a third of our phone use is just out of habit. They assembled a group of 2,000 volunteers. Some were paid a bonus for every hour they blocked social media. Over three weeks, their phone use fell by 56 minutes per day, but the effects lingered even when payments had stopped. Suggesting social media is habit forming. But how to fight digital addiction? Here are some suggestions from economists.
