Profits are up by 18% for these Indian farmers, helping smallholders improve their livelihoods. 7,000 chilli farmers in the state of Telangana took part in a successful pilot. Through chatbots on their phones, farmers received customised advice on their chilli crops. AI helped them speed up quality testing and digital marketplaces enabled faster selling.
