These hearing aids are made from old phones

Globally, almost 1 in 5 people live with hearing loss. They face a higher risk of isolation, depression and anxiety and may struggle to access jobs and education. However, hearing aids are often expensive, especially in developing countries. These hearing aids use parts of discarded mobiles from microphones to batteries and speakers. They’re affordable for people on low incomes and provide a social use for electronic waste.
