These images from space show how fast Antarctica is turning green

It may be Earth’s iciest continent but parts of Antarctica are greening with ‘shocking speed’, say scientists. They looked at satellite images of the Antarctic Peninsula, taken from 1986 to 2021. In just 35 years, the area covered by plants expanded by 14 times.
