This entrepreneur is behind India’s ‘Good Samaritan law’ saving lives on the roads

Globally, road accidents kill 1.3 million people a year. 92% of these deaths occur in low and middle-income countries such as India. In 2007, Piyush Tewari's 16-year-old cousin was struck by a car as he walked home from school. Seriously injured, he begged passers-by for help for 30 minutes but no one intervened. Tewari’s response to his cousin’s death was to launch SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF).
