In 2024, India is the best-represented nation in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings which measure universities’ contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The rankings look beyond traditional ratings of research and prestige, grading social and economic value instead. India has 105 universities in the list, more than any other country.
