One-third of India’s economy relies on nature. Here’s how to protect it

India’s economy is extremely vulnerable to climate risks. At 2˚C of global warming, climate risks could cost India 6.4% of its GDP by 2100. 3˚C of warming would shrink India’s economy by 10% and push 50 million people in India back into poverty. But while India’s dependence on nature raises the urgency of these threats, nature can also play a big role in providing the solution.
