A new lung cancer vaccine is being trialled in 7 countries

The new vaccine has been developed by German firm BioNTech. It uses mRNA technology, which works by delivering instructions to the body’s immune system, teaching it to defend itself against unwanted invaders such as pathogens or cancer cells. The new mRNA vaccine is designed to specifically target lung cancer cells and to prevent the cancer from coming back in the future.
