In Norway, electric cars now outnumber petrol-powered cars for the first time

There are 754,303 all-electric cars on Norway’s roads today, compared with 753,905 that run on petrol. There remain just under 1 million diesel cars in Norway but their numbers are dropping rapidly. Last year, 82.4% of all new cars sold in Norway were electric, breaking the previous year’s record of 79.3%.
