The world may have passed a solar power tipping point, say scientists
Solar power is likely to become the world’s dominant power source before 2050 due to technological trajectories already set in motion by existing policies, according to a study by scientists from Exeter University and UCL. This is due to happen even without the support of additional climate policies. However, the scientists warn that 4 factors could still hamper solar power’s progress.
