This start-up uses electricity to break rocks

The process of crushing and grinding up chunks of ore is called comminution. It’s traditionally done mechanically to make mineral extraction easier but it comes at a steep cost. US start-up Eden GeoPower has developed a method that increases mineral yields while significantly reducing associated energy usage. This process is called electric reservoir stimulation (ERS).
