Around the world, 39% of adults are overweight – a total of 1.9 billion people. Once seen only as a problem in high-income countries, it’s now affecting many low- and middle-income nations as well.

It’s a particular challenge in one Pacific Island nation, where nearly 80% of the population is overweight. But why?
