How does bike-sharing really impact cities?

People ride their bicycles as the city centre is transformed into a car-free zone for the day as part of "Mobility Week" in Brussels September 21, 2014. The 19 communes of the city were transformed into a car-free zone and only residents with special permission were allowed to drive their cars, and even then only at 30 km (18.64 Miles) per hour.
