Abigail Adams

Job Market Candidate, University of Oxford

Abi Adams is a job market candidate at the University of Oxford and a Research Associate of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Her primary research field is Applied Microeconomics, where she develops new ways of bringing economic models of decision-making to data in a flexible, yet theory–consistent, manner. Her recent work has focused on nonparametric analyses of individual and household behaviour, with a particular focus on the importance of allowing for heterogeneity. Applications have included disentangling the influence of taste and price effects for the changing consumption of tobacco and an exploration of the mechanisms producing time inconsistencies in household behaviour.
