Andrea Weber

Professor for applied political economy, University of Mannheim

Andrea Weber is professor for applied political economy at the University of Mannheim, where she has been teaching since 2010. She is a CEPR Research Fellow, a Fellow at IZA and the CESifo Research Networks. She is also a research consultant for the Austrian Institute of Economic Research in Vienna, a Research Associate at the ZEW in Munich and she serves as coeditor on the board of Labour Economics. Her research focuses on labor economics and micro-econometrics with a special emphasis on the role of institutions and policies on labor supply decisions, the interaction of discrimination and market competition, as well as the effects of economic shocks such as job displacement on individual outcomes.
