Anna Marks

Global Chair, Deloitte

Anna Marks is Chair of the Deloitte Global Board of Directors. Prior to becoming Deloitte Global Chair, she held a variety of senior leadership and executive roles at Deloitte, including on the Deloitte Global Board, the Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE) Board and the Deloitte UK Board. She chaired the Deloitte UK-Swiss Partnership Council and was a member of the Deloitte NSE Audit & Assurance Executive and Deloitte UK Audit & Assurance Executive. Marks also led the Deloitte UK CFO Programme, which focuses on developing the next generation of FTSE100 CFOs and providing insights and support for UK-listed corporate CFOs. She is currently Sponsoring Chair of the Deloitte UK Ethnicity Council.

Having spent almost 20 years as a practicing audit partner, Marks has significant experience across audit, due diligence and stock exchange and other regulatory reporting, both in the UK and US. She has acted as the lead audit partner for some of Deloitte’s largest FTSE corporate and international clients, leading and coordinating the delivery of services globally. She has experience across a range of corporate development activities, including supporting growth; M&A and other transaction-related activities; organizational design; and the development and enhancement of governance and risk management processes.

Marks is an active member of the World Economic Forum Community of Chairpersons and a fellow and former board member of the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, a UK charity meeting the complex needs of people with a range of neurological conditions and brain injuries.

She graduated with a degree in psychology and worked with families with children with learning disabilities before switching careers to become an accountant, later becoming a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Anna lives in Oxford (UK), has two grown-up daughters and enjoys running and yoga, as well as watching live sport.
