2. Presented a paper titled “A Kantian Perspective to Sustainable Development and Environmental Ethics,” March 2017, at the International Centre of Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW), University of Tubingen, Germany.

3. Presented a paper titled “Rise and Fall of Essentialist Social Theories: Recapitulation and Critique,” in 2016 at a national symposium organized by Bahirdar University. This work would later be published in Ethiopian Journal of the Social Sciences and Humanities (details indicated above).

VI. NATIONAL LEVEL APPOINTMENT

I have been appointed by the House of the Ethiopian Peoples Representatives as member of the Administrative Boundary and Identity Issues Commission, established under Proclamation No 1101-2019. I have been actively participating in the Commission’s sessions and perhaps as Vice Chair of the subcommittee for issues of self-administration.
VII. AWARDS

1. Received a visiting student grant from the University of Tubingen/Germany/ for my PhD studies and research, 2017.

2. Won the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, awarded by the European Commission, in 2007/2008 for my MA studies in Applied Ethics jointly at Linkopins University, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
