Catherine Anderson

Senior Public Sector Governance Specialist, World Bank

Catherine joined the World Bank in 2006 as Operations Analyst (Governance) in the East Asia and Pacific Region. Since then, Catherine has worked on various assignments in the World Bank as consultant for EASPR, AFTPR, SDN and LEGJR.  She holds a Masters in Law (LLM) from SOAS, University of London and Undergraduate Degrees in Law and Political Science from Victoria University, New Zealand. Prior to joining the Bank, Catherine was a civil servant in New Zealand, and worked with the United Nations, several International Non-Governmental Organizations (Revenue Watch, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch) and the private sector. Catherine specializes in economic and public sector governance in fragile and conflict affected contexts. Her program of work in Liberia will be focused on a range of governance issues including extractive industries governance, fiscal and administrative decentralization, and civil service reform.
