Bachelor's in Computer Science and Business, International University, Bruchsal, Germany. During studies, participated on the winning team of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) challenge and advanced to the European ACM competition. Additionally, joined three classmates to represent their class in the 2005 Model United Nations simulation. Former: technical lead, Twitter, building the company's distributed search service and introducing Apache Mesos to improve the scalability and reliability of Twitter's platform, helping to eliminate the then infamous "fail whale"; technical lead, Airbnb, building the company's data infrastructure and co-authoring a popular open source tool called Chronos. Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Mesosphere. Concurrently, investor with Taptalk and Driftt. Has filed five patent applications (three granted, one pending) and published the book: "A Service-Oriented Architecture for Social Networks."
