I have more than 30 years experience in academic research and teaching in conservation science. I am currently Professor of Biodiversity and Human Development at Manchester Metropolitan University and a Senior Research Associate with the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). I also hold the position of Visiting Professor at Imperial College London and at the University of Malaga, Spain.
