Formerly: 15 years as Architect, New York City, with work published in Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, Global Architecture, the New York Times, A+U, and Architectural Digest. Currently directs the Changing Places Research Group and co-directs the City Science Initiative, MIT Media Laboratory. Recent work has focused on responsive housing, urban mobility-on-demand, and living lab experiments. Author of Louis I. Kahn: Unbuilt Masterworks, selected as one of the Ten Best Books in Architecture, 2000, New York Times Review of Books; related work selected as a "Best Design of the Year" project, Time magazine.
