Sebnem is the Global Head of Travel Sustainability & Transport at Google. Leading a cross-functional team focused on sustainability and transport, Sebnem is responsible for the incubation and development of sustainability products and initiatives for Google’s travel and local verticals. Under her leadership, Google has launched hotel sustainability attributes, carbon emissions on Flight Search, and joined the global Travalyst coalition.
In over a decade at Google, Sebnem has held various positions. Before joining Google, Sebnem held roles in finance and risk management at Sabanci Holding and Marsh McLennan companies. She holds a Masters and Bachelor's degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul and Circular Economy Masterclass from Exeter University.
