Global Future Council on Mobility

The mobility sector has seen tremendous innovation, change and disruption in recent years creating opportunities with the corresponding need to ensure that future mobility is safe, clean and inclusive. The Global Future Council on Mobility seeks to identify the points of innovation or cultural transformation on the brink of impacting the movement of people and goods. The council will support the work of the System Initiative on Shaping the Future of Mobility by examining the impact of cities, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, sustainability and society on mobility. In 2019, the Council projects will highlight innovative solutions to the employee commute and product distribution, examine how public space is priced and used, and define how new mobility companies and cities work together.

Corporate Mobility Transport Challenge – Call for Nominations until 15 June 2019

We invite companies and organizations to participate in our Corporate Mobility Transport Challenge. The Challenge highlight the role of the private sector in helping catalyse a transition towards more sustainable commuting and product/goods distribution. We are calling for nominations of fully implemented programmes or initiatives that challenge the status quo for how we get to and from work.

The winning companies will be featured in a compendium published in October 2019 and highlighted during the Annual Meeting 2020 in Davos-Klosters. Selected solutions will be featured at the World Economic Forum’s Sustainable Development Impact Summit in September 2019 in conjunction with UN Climate Week.

Nominations are due 15 June 2019. To learn more, please click the here.
