The Ocean 100 Dialogues seek to convene corporate leaders across-industry to co-create a science-business platform for ocean stewardship – the acceleration of voluntary initiatives to solve the biggest challenges facing a sustainable and equitable ocean economy. The Ocean 100 Dialogues are a unique way to bring corporate commitments, anchored in science, to life and drive outsized cross-industry impact to address biodiversity loss, climate change and ocean equity agendas. Key ocean sustainability challenges will be addressed in the form of 6-month topical sprints. These sprints will serve as catalysts for cross-industry action on specific areas, with SDG 14 and the overall Sustainable Development Agenda in mind. A first set of prototype sprints are underway on blue carbon ecosystems and marine biodiversity loss.
The side event will be an opportunity to invite other companies and organizations to partner with the initiative and explore ways of collaboration.
Co-organizers: Friends of Ocean Action, World Economic Forum, Duke University, Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University, UN Global Compact, World Ocean Council, Orsted Networking and a light lunch will be served from 12:30.
Registration capacity for this event is 50 pax. Please register here.
