Founded in 2001, the World Toilet Organization's powerful advocacy for the sanitation agenda reached 3.3 billion viewers in 2012. It is the authoritative leader on the sanitation agenda, keeping it highly and continuously visible in global media and at the highest platforms globally. In 2013, the United Nations adopted its founding day, 19 November, as the official UN World Toilet Day.
