Why the world needs to embrace open science
Universities need to scale up science communication to enhance the authority of research and ensure greater public access to scientific knowledge.
Zhejiang University is one of China's leading higher education institutions, as well as one of its oldest; its roots can be traced back to 1897 and the founding of the Qiushi Academy. Located in the historical and cultural city of Hangzhou, the university is organized across seven faculties and 36 schools. It is home to approximately 3,600 full-time academic members of staff and around 50,000 full-time students.
