David Ebube Nwachukwu

Vice-Curator, Abuja Hub

David is a strategic communications, policy and development consultant. As a long-time champion of Africa's fashion economy, he made a conscious decision to pivot away from core media and public relations in the sector in early 2021 to work in development and public policy. This was done to seek out ways to provide much-needed structure to Nigeria's nascent fashion industry, particularly in policymaking for more ethical supply chains and seeking climate-smart investments for developing circular design economies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Lagos and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex. His previous work saw him lead the development of advocacy campaigns and policy dialogues for clean energy access and climate action across Nigeria. He currently combines strategic communication experience with demonstrated leadership as the Vice Curator of the Abuja hub of the Global Shapers Community for the 2023/24 hub year.
