As Executive Director, Ethos, developed the Responsible Government Model. 2011, returned to Ecuador and founded SUMA, a national political party. 2013, ran for President of Ecuador. 2014, elected Mayor of Quito, the capital city of Ecuador. World Co-President, United Cities and Local Governments Organization (UCGL). Member of the Board, Global Covenant of Mayors. Member of the Board, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). 2015, Young Global Leader, and since 2016, Member, Global Future Council for Cities and Urbanization, World Economic Forum.
