Mireya Cisneros was born in Santiago de Chile and moved to Venezuela when she was 8 years old; she studied Psych pedagogy, specializing in Down Syndrome, following this, she studied Business Administration. A path that she combined with her strong sense of social awareness, which led her to become an active agent of change and focusing on understanding of the required structures, processes and behaviors of disadvantaged communities in our region.

Mireya was the pioneer of designing, planning and executing of all the Social Corporate Responsibility Programs within key family businesses such as Digitel, Central Azucarera Portuguesa and Produvisa. This year Digitel has been recognized as the second social investor in Venezuela.
Her impact working with such companies has gone further, integrating awareness of social issues into areas such as strategic collaborative partnerships, technology and communications, whilst coordinating efforts and creating synergies to generate structural changes, therefore achieving excellent results.
These responsibilities are in addition to her work as Co-Founder of Venezuela Sin Limites; a non-profit organization that has been operating for over 16 years which has allowed her to channel support to over 350 NGOs across the country; as well as Unidos en Red, an international non-profit organization founded along with well known singers Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bose, Juanes, and a Latin American Families Business Group, which core mission is to empower agents of social change in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula countries, creating strategic partnerships and encouraging the collaboration between the agents of change; and facilitating and promoting the use of technology and communication in order to contribute to social development.

Currently, Mireya is focusing on investing in the development and management of high-impact projects in the region, particularly communications, technology and strategic partnerships for the benefit of projects promoted, such as:

- Grammy Latino Cultural Foundation, boosting social inclusion thought music and supporting its mission accomplishment (www.latingrammy.com/en/scholarship);

- Schwab Foundation searching for the Social Entrepreneurs of the year for the World Economic Forum, annually competition held by Venezuela Sin Limites; and linking WEF with CNNE to promote the importance of social entrepreneurship in our region;

- Iberoamerican General Secretary (SEGIB) developing and executing Citizen Innovation initiative (www.ciudadania20.org);

Mireya Cisneros has contributed with other professionals in social action, active members of the civil society by empowering and facilitating processes for the social integration of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities, creating the establishment of a cohesive society and the development of quality of life and social welfare. Her career confirms her belief that “the power of many in Action" is the way to achieve social transformation.
