China Energy Investment has assets of $265 billion and 350,000 employees. It operates across the coal, coal-fired power generation, new energy, hydropower, transportation, coal chemicals, environmental technology, and industrial finance sectors. It is one of the world’s largest coal suppliers, thermal power generators, wind power producers and coal-to-liquids/chemicals manufacturers. It had $75.5 billion in sales revenue in 2018. At end 2017, its coal mines produced 520 million tonnes annually, it had 230 GW of installed power production capacity, a dedicated 2,155 kilometre railway network, coal ports and terminals with combined handling capacity of 270 million tonnes, and a fleet of 62 vessels.
