What do the US tariffs mean for your country?

On 2 April, the US announced sweeping tariffs on countries around the world. Tariffs are a tax levied on imported goods paid for by the importer. The US says its tariffs will protect American workers and strengthen its economy. But some experts say they increase the risk of inflation and even a global recession.
