Sekem is active in the four dimensions of sustainable development: economic life, cultural life, societal life and ecology. Within in the economic dimension, Sekem has various companies in the field of organic and biodynamic food and beverages, textiles and pharmaceuticals, and is also reclaiming desert land – turning it into vital soils. In addition, Sekem runs various schools, a vocational training centre, a university and a medical centre. All activities are conducted based on the principles of economics of love and transparency, and aim to foster the individual development of human beings and give back to the community.
