How do CEOs think we should boost inclusive growth in Asia?

CEOs have named improvement to education as the best way to boost inclusive growth in Asia Pacific.

The PWC APEC 2016 CEO Outlook surveyed 800 business leaders to discover their thoughts, concerns and how confident they were about improving growth in the region. Expanding access to education at all levels was considered to be the most important step in helping to improve the region’s economies.

Transport upgrades came in second, with respondents believing an investment in infrastructure would enable more people to participate in the economic growth of their nation. This was followed by better incentives for saving and expanding healthcare access.

Only 28% of CEOs in the Asia Pacific region said that they were feeling “very confident” in revenue growth in 2016.

Business leaders recognised the importance of extending the benefits of economic growth to those on the margins of society.
