Abishek S Narayan is a researcher on Water and Sanitation for development and humanitarian aid. He is currently pursuing his PhD at ETH Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute for Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag). He has a background in Engineering and Policy from Anna and Oxford Universities. His interests in water came from founding the Clean Adyar Initiative, a citizen action group for restoring a river in Chennai, India. He is a visiting lecturer at IHE Delft, EPF Lausanne and TU Berlin. His experience includes the World Bank and 100RC-Rockefeller Foundation.
Abishek is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship, Skoll Leading for Impact Fellowship, Unleash Global Talent award, and the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Junior Research Award. He is on the board of global WASH networks such as the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance, and the Swiss Water Partnership, where he coordinates youth activities.
Abishek is also a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum Zurich hub.
