Aiko covers the research portfolios of labor migration and remittances, aging and demographic changes, and regional research collaboration. From 2001 to 2010, she was with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and served as the Head of the IOM Labor Migration Unit in Manila, overseeing projects and activities in the areas of labor migration and remittances.
