Brian McCaig is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario. Prior to joining WLU in 2012, Dr. McCaig was a Lecturer and Research Fellow in the Research School of Economics at the Australian National University. He has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the International Food Policy Research Institute. His research explores how households, workers, and firms respond to globalization in low-income countries, with a focus on Vietnam. His research has been published in top academic journals, including the Journal of International Economics and the American Economic Review: Papers and Proceedings.
