There are more then 450 artificial islands around the world, but what is the cost to the marine ecosystem?
I'm a marine ecologist specializing on urbanization and ecologically-informed design for urban shorelines. I currently work as a post-doctoral research fellow at the National University of Singapore, where we are developing and testing strategies for enhancing biodiversity on Singapore's seawalls.
