Gareth is managing partner and co-founder of G Squared Capital LLP, a quantitative hedge fund that uses machine learning to find patterns in the universe of data. An engineer by training with a PhD in expert systems (a branch of artificial intelligence), Gareth is a former Global Leadership Fellow with the World Economic Forum, where he was co-author of the Global Risk Report. He has two decades of asset management experience, and before entering finance he developed knowledge acquisition software to tackle classification problems in epidemiology.
