Ivan Turok is Executive Director at the Human Sciences Research Council and Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow. He is Chairman of the City Planning Commission for Durban and a Member of the Academy of Science of SA. Ivan has over 30 years’ experience researching cities and regions in different parts of the world and his books and papers on urban unemployment, regional development, city competitiveness, urban regeneration and spatial inequalities are highly cited internationally.
