Joan Paredes is an economist at the European Central Bank (ECB) Monetary Policy Research Division. Prior to taking up a research position in November 2013, he was member of the ECB team responsible for developing, negotiating and monitoring the EU-IMF financial support and economic adjustment programme for Ireland, focussing on fiscal aspects. Until 2013, he was an economist at the Fiscal Policies Division of the ECB. His research interests and publications include the macroeconomic aspects of fiscal policies, dynamic models and forecasting.
