Kasim Alfalahi is a pioneer in the sharing of technology. In a 20+ year career at Ericsson he created and led the company’s IP business to become a fundamental part of Ericsson’s success, with more than $10 billion in revenue under his leadership. In 2016 he left Ericsson with the vision of a new way forward. He founded Avanci, the independent, one-stop licensing marketplace for IoT, where as CEO he leads the mission to simplify and create solutions that make technology more widely available. Avanci’s successful, transparent model triggered requests for more industry-wide solutions, spurring the creation of Marconi, which supports Avanci and several further platforms. A true global citizen, Kasim has lived in six countries and is fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish and Swedish. An engineer by trade, he is driven by the philosophy that great solutions happen when all parties contribute to the technology ecosystem. He received his Master of Science degree in Engineering and Management from Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden.
