Keith Head

Professor in the Strategy and Business Economics, University of British Columbia

Keith Head is a Professor in the Strategy and Business Economics division at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He holds the HSBC Professorship in Asian Commerce. Professor Head obtained his B.A. at Swarthmore College in 1986 and his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991. He does research on multinational enterprises, international trade, and economic geography. Recent papers include “Market potential and the location of Japanese investment in Europe” (The Review of Economics and Statistics, 2004, with Thierry Mayer) and “FDI as an Outcome of the Market for Corporate Control: Theory and Evidence” (Journal of International Economics, forthcoming, with John Ries). He has just published a book titled Elements of Multinational Strategy (Springer).
