Luca Flabbi

Senior economist, Inter-American Development Bank

Luca Flabbi is senior economist in the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank, associate professor in the Economics Department of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and research fellow at IZA. His main research areas are labor economics and applied microeconometrics, with a focus on labor market search, gender differentials in the labor market, inequality, and mobility. After obtaining his PhD in Economics at New York University in 2004, he joined the Economics Department at Georgetown University where he worked until 2012. He has been visiting scholar at Collegio Carlo Alberto (Torino), MOVE-Autonoma (Barcelona) and GRIPS (Tokyo). His work has been published in leading academic journals.
