Why the response to the energy crisis must embrace an accelerated and balanced transition
Post-pandemic and Ukraine war, the world is facing an global energy crisis. But it is also an opportunity to steer the energy transition in the right direction
Lucia contributes to the research and analysis on Energy Transition and Net Zero transformation at World Economic Forum, including to the flagship report series "Fostering Effective Energy Transition", the review of its Energy Transition Index, the "Securing the Energy Transition" white paper and the related session at AM23, the flagship report "Net Zero Energy Tracker".
She has worked for more than a decade on energy transition, climate mitigation and adaptation, including climate and sustainable energy financing at European Investment Bank, development banking at AFD and energy and climate policy advisory for the EU Parliament. She also has a keen interest in decarbonization, circular carbon economy and the built environment, and has acted as expert for the EU Commission on sustainable urban development (UIA Initiative), hydrogen and CCUS (Innovation Fund) and for the World Energy Council.
She has a Master in Finance from London Business School, an MBA from Warwick University with concentration on global energy and a Msc in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
