Murray is a sociologist with a PhD in Science and Technology Studies, currently working at the Horizon Institute, University of Nottingham, on a number of Digital Society projects relating to energy and ICTs. These include exploring the impact of near-future smart grid technologies on social relations within shared households; exploring energy use in the workplace; and understanding and addressing digital exclusion in economically-deprived areas.
