Puriya Abbassi is a Financial Stability Expert at the Deutsche Bundesbank. His research interests are in banking and financial markets. Recent research projects include studying the securities trading by banks and the repercussions on financial stability and the real economy and the factors that affect (impairments of) wholesale funding markets both in normal and crisis times. He holds a PhD in Economics from JGU and a Diplom (Master’s equivalent) in Money and Macroeconomics from the University Frankfurt.
